The festival is a unique chance for you and your family and friends to discover new interests, to learn more about the activities you love, to develop skills, make new friends and most importantly have fun. What’s more, lots of the events are free for you to attend and take part.
Warrington Festival will be back in 2018, see you then!
Warrington is a great place to live, work and play – and we want to showcase that!
The first Warrington Festival took place in 2015, organised by a board of partners from major organisations in the town including LiveWire, Warrington Borough Council and Culture Warrington. The first year we held over 25 events which attracted more than 20,000 people to visit our town. Some of the headline events included Pixie Lott playing a headline slot at Bank Park, the English Half Marathon, a Cycle Festival, a Medieval Market, the Walton Hall and Gardens Country Fayre, Wolf Crawl Challenge and the celebration of 160 years of Warrington Museum.
In 2017 highlights also included RivFest, Warrington Mela, a contemporary arts festival, youth volunteering events, showcases of the Police Museum and the Freemasonry Museum, a marathon, 5k, 10k and a family mile.
Each year we want to make it even bigger and better. So look out for Warrington Festival 2018, get involved, come along and have a great time!
